Chuck Royer is “Of Counsel” to the firm, focusing on complex business litigation, landlord tenant law, defense of professional liability claims, and construction law.
Chuck graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts, and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
Chuck is an active member of the community, currently serving as the Chair of the Board of Directors for Recovery Resources, an organization dedicated to helping individuals triumph over mental illness, alcoholism, drug abuse, and other addictions. He has previously served on the Boards of The Center for Mental Retardation, New Life Community, and the West Side Ecumenical Ministry, as well as LEAP (Linking Employment, Abilities and Potential).
Chuck is a member of the Ohio and Cleveland-Metropolitan Bar Associations, and the International Association of Defense Counsel,
Chuck is admitted before the Courts of the State of Ohio, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Chuck has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America since 2013, Ohio Super Lawyers since 2008, and awarded a Martindale Hubbell Peer Review Rating of AV Preeminent. Chuck is the author of Accord and Satisfaction Alive and Well in Ohio, Cleveland Bar Journal, 1999, and the presentation Landlord-Tenant Law: From Lease to Eviction, Cleveland, 2016.
